The FirstBIKE is just like a bike except it has no pedals.

The FirstBIKE frame, fork, handlebar, seatpost and mudguards are manufactured from GFR - glass fibre reinforced polyamide.  The combination of these advanced composite materials and state-of the-art plastic injection technology achieves an extremely strong, lightweight and highly durable finished product with the bonus of distinctive modern styling.

The FirstBIKE weighs only 3.2kg without brake and is only 3.7kg. with brake.  Weight is an important factor for small children to be able to easily manoeuvre the bike. Equally important for parents who may end up carrying the bike at some point!

All models are built to the same high standards and come with a full two year guarantee against defects.

The FirstBIKE ergonomic star-knob allows instant and easy adjustment of seat height - continuously adjustable over an 11cm range. This gives a ground to seat range of 35 - 46cm. (31- 42cm with a lowering kit). The lowering kit provides those children with 'littler' legs the chance to use these bikes too. The lowering kit can be easily removed later to give the full seat height range up to 46cm.

The FirstBIKE STREET has pneumatic 12.5" road tyres with Schraeder (car-type) valve. Quick to inflate, with good traction and comfortable suspension. Tyres are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

The FirstBIKE Street comes with a blue or pink frame, a black seat and black handle grips.

The FirstBIKE has a number of safety features including safety hand grips,an anti jack-knifing design to the frame which restricts the handlebar from turning fully, reflectors on each side of the frame and one on the front fork enhance visibility and safety. In addition, these models are available with SAFETY STOP, a rear drum brake specially designed for FirstBIKE. From the age of three, perhaps a bit earlier, a child can take full advantage of SAFETY STOP and develop further the skills required to ride a real bicycle.
