FirstBIKE, the innovative German design toy, is now available in the UK. Made by an experienced manufacturing company in Western Germany.

What you need to know:

Both models feature the revolutionary frame construction, stylish and innovative design, and the option of the pioneering "Safety Stop" drum brake.

GFR Construction - The frame, fork, handlebar, seatpost and mudguards are manufactured from glass fibre reinforced (GFR) polyamide. The combination of advanced composite materials and state-of the-art plastic injection technology achieves an extremely strong, lightweight and highly durable finished product. Your FirstBIKE will not dent, chip, crack or splinter, yet it will flex just enough to provide a comfortable ride on bumpy surfaces.

All models are built to the same high standards and come with a full two year guarantee against defects.

Age range 2 - 6 years (approx.); maximum rider weight 30kg. Minimum rider height: approx. 93cm; (87cm with lowering kit).

Ground to seat range of: 35 - 46cm. ; (31 - 42cm with lowering kit).

Easy to assemble. The handlebars and front wheel are the only parts to require fixing. Tools and full instructions are supplied. It should take no more than 5/10 minutes.

Seat - anatomically correct, cushioned and 100% waterproof.

Seat-knob -ergonomic star-knob allows instant and easy adjustment of seat height - continuously adjustable over an 11cm range. The instant adjustability of the seat makes it easy to share the bike with siblings or friends.

Weighs only 3.7kg. with the brake fitted, only 3.2kg without. This means it is easy to manoeuvre for your child and equally easy for you to carry.

Both the CROSS and the STREET have pneumatic tyres. 12.5" pneumatic road (STREET) or off-road (CROSS) profile tyres with Schraeder (car-type) valve. Quick to inflate, with good traction and comfortable suspension. All tyres are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Wheels - 12.5" hollow-spoke GFR polyamide wheels. Sealed industrial ball bearings. These wheels are extremely rigid on account of the hollow spokes. Far stronger and more true than conventional spoked wheels, the smooth design has no sharp edges, making them safe as well as easy to clean.

CROSS - knobbly tyres, silver frame with red seat and handle grips.

STREET - road tyres, blue or pink frame with black seat and handle grips.

FirstBIKE Safety

Steering stop – the frame and fork design restricts the handlebar from turning fully, preventing it from jack-knifing. This safety feature provides children an easier and safer ride, as well as protecting them from getting caught in, or under, the bike.

Brake - SAFETY STOP, a rear drum brake specially designed for FirstBIKE. All FirstBIKE models have the option of the brake at a small additional cost. From the age of three, perhaps a bit earlier, a child can take full advantage of SAFETY STOP and develop further the skills required to ride a real bicycle. Teflon cable housing and a child's brake lever combined with the easy-to-pull drum brake design make the brake easy to operate, even for small children's hands. The enclosed mechanism is protected from the weather and provides no temptation for small fingers. SAFETY STOP will require little or no maintenance over its lifetime.

Reflectors - A reflector on each side of the frame and one on the front fork enhance visibility and safety.

Safety hand grips prevent hands from slipping off the handlebars. Protect hands as well as the furniture, floors and belongings.
